Dennis Spaine is a painter and journalist from Sierra Leone. He started with drawing and painting at a young age and was always thinking about creating. That is why his earlier works often are created by all kind of garbage.

Dennis is influenced by an African painting style. Or rather, it is its source. During his live he has been traveling a lot and he is also more influenced by European styles and tastes.
He calls his style 'cocktail painting', that is, a combination of several ingredients - not so much in one painting, but in an exhibition. The name 'cocktail painting' originated during the years he worked as a bar tender.
Dennis has been living in the Netherlands, in the asylum center, for 2 years and he is grateful to the COA for the opportunity they offer him to paint.
Dennis is also a journalist and, in particular, a radio presenter. His radio station can be heard in the exhibition (currently it has 24 non-stop music, but conversation programs are in preparation).
